Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney (born Amal Ramzi alamuddin) is a British/Lebanese lawyer, human rights activist, and charity philanthropist. She has graduated from Oxford University School of Law as well as New York University School of Law. Her long career has earned her international acclaim for her accomplishments in international law as well as in the area that deals with human rights. Her clients include many high-profile nation-states, including Armenia and the struggle it has to get the Turkish Government recognize that there was an Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney became engaged to and married American actor George Clooney in 2014 instantly becoming a household name in pop media. Years earlier, Amal Clooney was known for successfully representing her clients in courts and was well-known. She has tackled human and civil rights concerns and representing multinational corporations in their court actions as well as negotiations regarding government regulations. In 2015 and beyond, she was a barrister in British Court at Doughty Street Chambers.
