Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on March 16 1984 in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and popular comedians. Bea has appeared on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16 March 1984) is a comedian and actress from Ireland. After playing bits in several Irish and British television shows since 2009 Bea was able to begin her professional career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. Bea began performing often on sketch comedy and sitcoms in 2012. In 2012, following her won an award at Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) and began to be featured regularly in various panel shows. She was a captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016 to 2017 and was regularly a contestant on the spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was born to Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister who is named Sinead. In 2012, she became the only woman to be awarded the So You Think You Are Funny award. Bea is her maiden name to honor her late father. Aisling O'Sullivan, also referred to as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. Her father Brian was a vet for horses who committed suicide aged three. But, she did not learn the cause of death until she was 13 years old. Bea was her stage name. Bea was a tribute for her father. Bea published an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017, about her experience of suicide. Bea was raised alongside her sister Sinead with Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer, and former professional racer. Their family was fascinated by racing meetings and horses. Bea began her career as tourist guides for the Irish National Stud. But she quickly realized that her passion was for doing and not racing.
